Patroclus is the wartime companion and lover of Achilles. He is guided by unwavering devotion and honor, and is considered by many to be the unsung hero of the duo. During the Trojan war, Achilles avenges the death of Patroclus by killing Hector, even though a prophecy ensured this would cost him his life.
